Computer Science for All Applications Now Open!

In an effort to expand its existing computer science programs, the New York City Department of Education is pleased to announce that it is now recruiting for its second cohort of schools! Applications are open for the following programs: the Software Engineering Program as well as the Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles: Beauty and Joy of Computing course. The application deadline for both programs is February 22, 2016.

Application Open for Software Engineering Program (SEP)
Please note the application deadline is 5PM on February 22.

Open to New York City public middle schools and high schools, SEP is now accepting applications for its second cohort. The flagship program for the Mayor’s Computer Science for All initiative, SEP is a comprehensive, standards-aligned computer science and software engineering education program for grades 6 through 12.

Application Open for Advanced Placement Computer Science (AP CS) Principles: Beauty and Joy of Computing (BJC)
Please note the application deadline is 5PM on February 22.

Open to all New York City high schools, AP CS is now accepting applications for its second cohort. Modeled after the University of California, Berkeley’s undergraduate course, Beauty and Joy of Computing, this program trains teachers to prepare students to take the Advanced Placement Computer Science principles exam as early as May 2017.
